Gather round boils and ghouls. It’s that time when we share our latest paranormal experiences and try to find logical reasons for them. Also, sweet doriftooo BMW 7 series, yo!
The latest one was from back in August.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
But, something even more strange happened years back that I want to share with you peeps. Here we go:
Back in....1998? or 99 my dad and his !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! brothers purchased a property that used to be a church. The place was pretty large sitting on 4 or 5 acres.
The place had this huge area where the church stuff happened, a huge kitchen area, a bunch of offices, and a place where they had the baptism ceremonies. Once my dad and his buddies acquired the place, the made it into a Masonic temple in a huge conference room area there. The main church area was restored into a ballroom type place which they rented out to people for events, kind of like the VFWs do.
First creepy even happened the day they turned over the keys. I was walking around exploring the complex. All good and normal until I opened the door and walked into where they did the baptism stuff (didn’t know at the time since it was super dark). I was 13 or 14 at the time. No lie my awesome OPPOnauts, as I walked into the darkness alone looking for a light switch, I would get these random flashes in my mind of 2 little kids and I physically felt like I was holding my breath or choking. The room was dark and I didn’t even know what was in there til I tuned on the lights and saw the empty pool. Once I caught my breath, I left that room and continued exploring.
I entered a room where they would do Sunday school maybe? There was still toys and kid’s drawing and pictures on the wall. I looked at some Polaroids on the wall of times past. All of a sudden I saw one of 2 little kids and I instantly felt sick to my stomach. The atmosphere and general feel of the room got noticeably dark. I got major chills and felt physicaly ill. The room just felt nauseating. WTF!? So strange.
As the years passed by, my dad and his crew would have their meetings every Thursday evening. It wasn’t uncommon for them to hear little children’s footsteps running along the hallway next to the temple. Along with the steps, they’d hear little chatter of children. On the weekends, people who rented the ballroom area would also say they would hear these footsteps and chatter on a regular occasion.
One night during a meeting, it got to a point where it was so loud and obvious that they had to stop everything and investigate. Suddenly, all the lights were turned off. They all stepped outside to get some flashlights and more than anything, call the police just in case it was an intruder. They kept looking around with !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! calling out for whoever was inside to come out. All this time, one guy who was an electrician is investigating why the power failed in their area. He met up with everyone and concluded that everything is fine, only that all the switches where flipped to the off petition. WTF? At that time, everyone was standing in the same large hallway when clear as day, they all heard and felt footsteps running from one side of the hall, between them, and to the other side along with children’s voices. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!!!!
Super odd for sure. As time passed, they just learned to live with it and brush away the complaints of people that had events there. At one point, an older gentlemen requested to stay the night since he was headed toward that side of town the next morning anyway. Let me add that this gentleman had no prior knowledge of the creepy things that happened there. When asked about his night there, he said, “I could never get to sleep because those dang kids wouldn’t leave him alone. They kept giggling, running around, and even touch me in the back as I was trying to sleep, waking me up”
WTF!!!!?!?!??!?!
Dudes again, I’m trying to find a logical reason for all this. I am running out of ideas especially because so many people had no previous notion of the children and the spooky things that happened but kept confirming the same stories. Is there a way to find out if any children died in the property in the past online?
Who knows dudes and dudettes. A couple years ago, the place was sold and torn down. There was a metal fabrication place next door that bought the property and expanded their area.
Hopefully this won’t keep you up at night lol. It is definitely odd af. Can’t wait to hear what you peeps have to share :]

Very, very, very long story short. In HS me and my friends made a couple of visits to an abandoned hospital. There was this creepy CPR doll that every time we came back would be in a different room.
The place was mostly cleared out, but we found one room that had vials with blood in them and the window had bloody handprints on it. There was also drawer nearby that had 5 spent shotgun shells in it. Literally no idea why.

Ok, not really a ghost story, but I used to work in and manage convenience stores. I worked lots of graveyard shifts, and one night I’m out wandering around the store at about 2 am cleaning random shit and from behind me I hear the ice dispenser on the soda fountain activate. I turned around thinking I forgot to lock the maglocks on the front doors and that someone came in for a soda but there was no one there. I found out later that those dispensers are designed to activate themselves after a certain time passes so that the ice does not freeze together, but it freaked me the fuck out at the time.

Do ghosts and gremlins in car electricals count? Because I’ve had a couple very strange things happen with my MDX. The issues have now been exorcised, but at the time, it was really bizarre.
That aside, the old Montana State Prison, now a Prison museum is badass. My wife and younger son we’re flipping out, and swore they heard voices and whatnot, and refused to go on after like half an hour. Me and my older son did explore most of it. Supposedly it is haunted though. There was even an episode of Ghost Hunters filmed there. I highly recommend a visit, if you’re ever in Deer Lodge Montana. Also, right next to the Prioson museum is an awesome Car Museum, that I also highly recommend.

Dude. That’s crazy. That guy spending the night there was brave. I have always thought churches, even the one I attend, are incredibly creepy at night.
I started a similar thread, today. Oops. Anyway, I’ll share what I posted there.
My mom passed away from a ruptured blood clot in her leg when she was 40, on January 8, 2001. I was 11.
I lived with my emotionally abusive stepfather for a few years after that, because it was my mother’s wish. I have no idea why. Anyway, I digress.
A few days after mom died, I was upstairs playing with my Hot Wheels, as I almost always was. Suddenly, I heard my mom laugh. She had a very distinctive laugh, and I often heard it when I was upstairs while she was downstairs watching one of her favorite shows (Friends, Will & Grace, or Frasier). Her laugh was so real to me that day, that I actually went downstairs to look. Of course, the house was empty. But I wasn’t really creeped out. If anything, it made me feel better.
My stepfather told me later over dinner that he looked up from the table that morning and saw my mom sitting in our swing, looking out onto the fields and at the horses, as she often did. I grew up on a horse farm and the dining room windows of the house overlooked a tree, our swing (it was like a porch swing but built under the tree), and the fields where the horses grazed.
My stepfather said he looked up, saw her sitting there, blinked, and she was gone.
I was sort of hoping she’d come back and haunt him, but no dice.
I don’t really believe in ghosts per se, but I believe in spirits. I think maybe I was allowed to hear her laugh that day to let me know she was finally truly happy. Her marriage to my stepfather had taken a toll on her and I both, and I know she found happiness in the hereafter. I know others won’t agree with me, and that’s okay.

When I lived in Hawaii I experienced the hold down ghost, which may or may not be an aspect of sleep apnea. I was awake and I felt like a weight was on top of me from the neck down, I couldn’t move anything but my head. Then it faded and I could move. It was weird.
Then another time I was working in a building on base in Hawaii as well and there was a huge mechanical basement I had to go down into, for some reason the entrance we were at had no light switch at the top of the stairs, only the bottom. They told me when I got to the end of the railing to just go straight up the wall with my hand and it would be right there. So I did and when I went to raise my arm up to the switch I felt resistance, like heavy air preventing me from moving my arm up. I was like, huh, this is pretty weird, it didn’t feel like a physical object was there. Then it released me and I flipped it on and there was nothing that could have been in my arms way, just a huge blank wall, railing at waist level and a switch. I can’t explain either experience but the first has been described as apnea, which I have no history of.

First sounds like sleep paralysis, where for some weird reason your brain wakes up (for lack of a better way ro describe it) before the rest of your body.

Yeah that story I am not really concerned with, I figured it was like that, although in Hawaii they have a whole bunch of stories about that kind of thing. My Hawaiian friend says jealous ghosts take patches for hair from hula practitioners, she says girls will get a small circle of hair that falls out.

I don’t really have a ghost story per se, but I do have a story from when I visited the Holocaust Museum in DC on a school field trip. Obviously, going through that museum is going to be super depressing and creepy with the old items (the pit of shoes anyone?) and all.
But as you get towards the end of the walk through, you have to walk through one of the train cars that carried people to Auschwitz. It’s a very small train car and you can walk through it pretty quickly. I’m also not a supernatural person by any means. But the second I saw the train car, I could “see” some dark cloud around it despite the fact that it had like 4 spot lights shining on it. As soon as I stepped in to the car, the temperature dropped a good 10 degrees and the hair on the back of my neck stood up instantly, heart started beating rapidly, etc. I can’t really describe the feeling, but as I walked across to the other side (taking what felt like forever to do), I just knew I had to get out of it as fast as possible. Like if I didn’t move, I wasn’t getting out, much like the people who were taken to Auschwitz by that train car.
Again, I don’t really believe in all the supernatural / paranormal whatever. But I do believe that there is some sort of evil in that train car at the very least. If you’ve ever been to that museum, you probably know what I mean.

I’ve told this one before. It’s not particularly scary...just weird.
The pizza joint I worked at in college was haunted. The ghost would, on quiet mornings when nothing was going on, call “Order in!” through the front window. I experienced it numerous times when no one at all was in the front of the restaurant and two of us were working in the kitchen. Also, on busy nights, it would roam back and forth between the back door and the restrooms, enough that you could see something out the corner of your eye but never saw anything when actively looking in that direction.
I asked the owner and one of his sons that worked there about it. Initially, they both would shrug or deny noticing anything. After a few months, when I had become one of the longest tenured employees, they admitted that it was happening and that they didn’t tell anyone about it because some people would freak out.
It never actually did anything to us...just annoyed us on occasion. Was actually kind of funny.

I’m sorry I poked fun at your post. I come from a line of Military heros, most recently my father in Vietnam and before him my grandfather from WW2, both of which were officers in charge of a lot of lives. I used to think I was visited by a guy in camouflage since the age of 7 up until 16 or so. I was so strongly convinced of it that it took until the age of 30 to sleep without the lights on. Now that I’m an oldish gal I sometimes challenge the fear in hopes of seeing something, and sometimes turn on the bathroom light in hopes of not. Lol. Nobody really knows.
